One of the main things that help make the APA the largest and most popular amateur pool league in the world is our Equalizer Handicap System. This system allows low skilled players to compete with higher skill level players each time they step up to the table. APA teams collect data for this system by utilizing scoresheets to record the matches of each player. For our handicap system to work fairly and effectively, these scoresheets must be completed accurately. The following links and videos will help you understand how to keep score correctly and why accurate scorekeeping is so important.
Scorekeeping is the single most important part of any sport aside from sportsmanship. Without accurate record keeping it is difficult to ensure that all players are participating on a level field.

We have created a Master Scorekeeper Program to educate all players how to keep score correctly. In order to receive the Master Scorekeeper Patch you must take and pass (with 80% or better) the following tests: Understanding Defensive Shots, How To Keep Score In 8-Ball and How To Keep Score in 9-Ball.
It is very simple. Watch the videos above. After you have watched the videos, print out the test below and answer the questions to the best of your abilities (or go back to the video for helpful hints J). Once you have completed the test send it in with your weekly score sheet.
